Σαν σήμερα, πριν απο 37 χρόνια, οι Pavlov's Dog κυκλοφόρησαν τον πρώτο τους δίσκος με τίτλο Pampered Menial

Ένας δίσκος που προσφέρει πολύ δυνατά συναισθήματα..

Όταν ήμουν μικρός και άκουσα για πρώτη φορά το Julia, θαύμαζα την φωνή της τραγουδίστριας (!) -που να ήξερα-

Καθώς περνούσε ο καιρός και άρχισα να ψάχνομαι με την μουσική περισσότερο, έφτασε η μέρα που αγόρασα την ίδια μέρα όλη την δισκογραφία τους...

Όταν άνοιξα το Pampered Menial και διάβασα ότι τελικά η φωνή που άκουγα και θαύμαζα σε αυτό το υπέροχο τραγούδι, δεν ανήκε σε γυναίκα αλλά σε άντρα...έπαθα ένα ευχάριστο σοκ!

WOW!

Αμέσως κέρδισε πόντους αυτή η μπάντα για μένα...

Όταν άκουσα όλον τον δίσκο...έγινε κατευθείαν ένας απο τους αγαπημένους μου...

Η μοναδικότητα της φωνής του -πλέον- η ατμόσφαιρα που προσδίδει το organ, οι μελωδίες σε όλα τα τραγούδια, η παραγωγή...ΟΛΟ το πακέτο ήταν και είναι ξεχωριστό!

Άξιο αναφοράς, είναι πως το Theme of Subway Sue κανονικά ονομαζόταν Someday soon, "someday soon, we'll find out where we're going" αλλά λόγο το ότι δεν ακουγόταν καθαρά ακόμα και ο Surkamp το μπέρδευε σαν Subway Sue αποφάσισαν να αλλάξουν τον τίτλο, σαν ένα "ενδοσκοπικό"αστείο...

1η Απριλίου και σαν σήμερα το 1997 οι Conception κυκλοφόρησαν τον πέμπτο και τελευταίο δίσκο τους "Flow"

Δεν είναι ξακουστοί, ούτε έχουν κάνει ΤΟ όνομα, αλλά εγώ όσο θυμάμαι τουλάχιστον, στην Ελλάδα το '98 σε όποιο rock/metal bar και να πήγαινες, θα άκουγες το Gethsemane...

Ο δίσκος είναι αρκετά καλός...

Μπορείς να το βάλεις να παίζει και να κάνεις την οποιαδήποτε δουλειά που έχεις να κάνεις και απλά κάπως να περάσεις καλά...

Το μόνο "αξιοσημείωτο" που μπορεί κανείς να πει απο αυτή την ιστορία, είναι πως κλείνοντας το κεφάλαιο Conception, ανοίγει το κεφάλαιο Kamelot και η καταξίωση αυτής της υπέροχης φωνής του Khan

31 Μαρτίου σήμερα, και σε αυτή την ημερομηνία, ένα συγκρότημα που έγινε θρύλος κυκλοφόρησε δυο δίσκους που έγραψαν την δική τους ιστορία…

Το όνομα αυτού….

Led Zeppelin….

Ξεκινώντας χρονολογικά το 1969 κυκλοφόρησε ο πρώτος τους δίσκος με τον τίτλο Led Zeppelin I.

Αυτό το κόσμημα της κλασικής rock, έχει πουλήσει μέχρι τώρα δέκα εκατομμύρια αντίτυπα…-πως είπατε;;;;-

Δεν γνωρίζω αν αυτή η εμπορική επιτυχία οφείλεται μόνο στα τραγούδια του, ή αν έπαιξε ρόλο και ποιοι ήταν αυτοί που το δημιούργησαν, η όλα μαζί…

Αλλά σίγουρα αυτός ο δίσκος, είναι από αυτούς που βάζεις να παίζει από την αρχή –είτε σε βινύλιο, είτε στο pc- ανάβεις ένα κερί, αρπάζεις μια πολυθρόνα, κλείνεις τα φώτα, έχεις δίπλα σου ένα μπιρόνι και αφήνεσαι να σε παρασύρει η ροκιά, η μπλουζιά, η φολκιά, η ατμόσφαιρα, ο λυρισμός, η απίστευτη δεξιότητα του Page, η φωνάρα του Plant η παικτούρα των τυμπάνων Bonham, οι μπασογραμμές του Jones…και μέχρι να πιεις το μπιρόνι σου –συνιστάται μισόλιτρη παγωμένη pils- έχεις περιπλανηθεί σε άλλους κόσμους….

Δικαίως λοιπόν αυτός ο δίσκος έφτασε το νούμερο 1 στην Ισπανία, νούμερο 6 στην Αγγλία και νούμερο 10 στο billboard200, που συνολικά έχει γίνει 15 φορές πλατινένιος, 5 φορές χρυσός και μια φορά διαμαντένιος και που έχει ψηφιστεί το 2004 ο 29^ος καλύτερος δίσκος από τα 500 των καλύτερων δίσκων όλων των εποχών!

Δεν έχει την ίδια επιρροή με τον Ι, αλλά έχει επίσης μοναδικά τραγούδια…

Δεν έχει κάποια αξιοσημείωτη ιστορία ο δίσκος, πέρα από το γεγονός ότι ο Plant το καλοκαίρι που προηγήθηκε των ηχογραφήσεων είχε ένα σοβαρό τροχαίο ατύχημα στην Ρόδο με αποτέλεσμα να ακυρώσουν την παγκόσμια περιοδεία τους για την προώθηση του δίσκου

Μπορεί να μην είχε εισπρακτικά την ίδια επιτυχία του I αλλά έφτασε στο no1 του billboard200 και 3 φορές πλατινένιος, και no1 στην Αγγλία και πλατινένιος…

Για τι να πρωτομιλήσω....

Για την δύναμη που βγάζει απο τον πρώτο δευτερόλεπτο μέχρι το τελευταίο;

Για την εκπληκτική παραγωγή του Martin Birch; (πάλι αυτός;)

Για τα τραγούδια που είναι ΕΝΑ κι ΕΝΑ;

Για τις κιθάρες που είναι ΑΠΙΣΤΕΥΤΑ απλές και heavy;

Για την σπουδαιότερη μεταγραφή που έγινε ποτέ στην μουσική βιομηχανία; (αυτή του Air Raid Siren)

Άντε ας τα πάρουμε απο την αρχή...μην μας παρασέρνει ο ενθουσιασμός μας...

Σαν σήμερα 29 Μαρτίου του 1982 οι Iron Maiden κυκλοφόρησαν έναν δίσκο που θα άλλαζε ριζικά την μοίρα τους, αλλά και εκατοντάδες εκατοντάδων -μην πω χιλιάδες χιλιάδων και φανώ υπερβολικός, αν και αυτό ισχύει- ανθρώπων, που είτε τους έκανε να πιάσουν μια κιθάρα, ή ενα μικρόφωνο, είτε ενα μπάσο, είτε -σαν κι εμένα- drumsticks για να κοπανήσουν τύμπανα....

Για την μεταγραφή που σας έλεγα, δεν είναι άλλη πέρα απο αυτή του-πολυπράγμων- Bruce Dickinson, που ήρθε απο τους -όχι και άσχημους- Samson και να αλλάξει το ρου αυτού του συγκροτήματος, με την φωνή του, τις εμπνεύσεις του, την σκηνική του παρουσία, ο ΑΠΟΛΥΤΟΣ frontman...

Πολύ τους κατηγορήσανε για σατανιστές, λόγω του τίτλου, αλλά η αλήθεια είναι ότι το ομώνυμο τραγούδι ήταν έμπνευση απο εναν εφιάλτη που είδε ο Harris (αρχηγός του συγκροτήματος) μετά απο την προβολή της ταινίας Damien Omen II. Επίσης στην αρχή του τραγουδιού ακούγεται απαγγελία απο την αποκάλυψη του Ιωάννη (13:18)

To Children of the damned είναι βασισμένο στην ομώνυμη ταινία, και σε μια απο τις ραδιοφωνικές του εκπομπές ο Bruce Dickinson αποκάλυψε ότι ο Ronnie James Dio εμπνεύστηκε επίσης απο την ταινία για να γράψει με τους Black Sabbath το Children of the sea...

Το Prisoner εμπνευσμένο απο την τότε Βρετανική ομώνυμη σειρά...

Ο δίσκος έγινε κλασικός...Στην Ελλάδα πριν απο 15 χρόνια στην πρώτη ψηφοφορία που είχε γίνει απο το μεγαλύτερο heavy metal περιοδικό της χώρας, ψηφίστηκε πρώτο και με διαφορά...
-στην δεύτερη ψηφοφορία πριν απο λίγα χρόνια βγήκε δεύτερο, μετά το Master of puppets- Στον Καναδά τριπλά πλατινένιος, στην Αγγλία πλατινένιος, στην Γερμανία χρυσός, στην Αμερική έφτασε στο billboard200 στο νούμερο 33 κι έγινε πλατινένιος...

Έχει ψηφιστεί ως ένα απο τους δίσκους 1001 δίσκους που πρέπει να ακούσεις πριν πεθάνεις, είναι ενας απο τους 100 καλύτερους δίσκους που έβγαλε η Αγγλία, νούμερο 17 στους 100 καλύτερους κιθαριστικούς δίσκους

Υπάρχει μια ιστορία που θεωρείται "αξιοσημείωτη" ο παραγωγός Martin Birch πηγαίνοντας για το στούντιο, το αυτοκίνητό του έπαθε βλάβη, η οποία του κόστισε 666 λίρες!

Στις 29 Μαρτίου του 1982, οι Scorpions κυκλοφόρησαν το Blackout...
Κατά την διάρκεια των ηχογραφήσεων αυτού του όγδοου κατα σειρά δίσκου τους, ο τραγουδιστής, Klaus Meine, έχασε την φωνή του, και αναγκάστηκε να κάνει χειρουργική επέμβαση...
Αμέσως καλέσανε τον Don Dokken για να τον αντικαταστήσει, αλλά τελικά το πείσμα του Meine για να συνεχίσει -παρόλο που η κατάστασή του δεν ήταν και η καλύτερη-

Μια άλλη λεπτομέρεια, είναι ότι στο China White υπάρχει διαφορετικό solo στην Ευρωπαική έκδοση απο αυτή που κυκλοφόρησε στην Αμερική...

Ο δίσκος έφτασε μέχρι το No10 του Billboard200 και έγινε πλατινένιος

Ο -δυστυχώς- τελευταίος έως σήμερα δίσκος των Pink Floyd ασχολείται κυρίως με την επικοινωνία αλλά και με άλλα θέματα όπως το A Great Day For Freedom για την πτώση του τείχους του Βερολίνου, την Εθνοκάθαρση στην Γιουκοσλαβία και για την ευφορία που έφερε η πτώση του Ανατολικού μπλοκ και το Take It Back αναφέρεται για την "ασέβεια" του ανθρώπου προς το περιβάλλον...

Στο Keep Talking ακούμε αποσπάσματα ομιλίας του Stephen Hawking (πάλι αυτός;)

Χρειάζεται να πω ότι ο δίσκος πήγε στο Νο 1 του Billboard200 και πως έγινε στην Αγγλία διπλά και στην Αμερική τριπλά πλατινένιος;

Ξέρετε ότι για το ΕΚΠΛΗΚΤΙΚΟ Marooned κερδίσανε το Grammy το 1995;

Αξιοσημείωτο είναι πως ο Richard Wright (δυστυχώς έφυγε απο την ζωή 15 Σεπτεμβρίου του 2008 απο καρκίνο) ενώ συνήθως έκανε δεύτερες φωνές, στο Wearing The Inside Out τραγουδάει σαν πρώτη φωνή...για πρώτη φορά!
